Article description

A limited re-release of the fourth Black Sabbath album on 180g vinyl in Gatefold format, including a download voucher. The fourth Black Sabbath album was created with many new influences: It was recorded not in England, but in Los Angeles and for the first time, their album was produced by guitarist Tony Iommi. Additionally, there were some tensions within the band due to the permanent consumption of illegal substances! They had cocaine sneaked into the studio regularly, hidden in the huge loudspeakers. Half of the budget was spent on this purpose. This, too, explains song titles, such as "Snowblind", which was also going to be the title of the album. However, the record label did not agree to this. Regarding the music, the heavy sound of the third album was refined and the band tried out many new things. Thus, the difficulties in recording this album were not reflected by its reviews, which were almost exclusively positive.
