Enslaved's first full-length album was co-produced with the legendary Pytten at the world-famous Grieghallen Studio in Bergen, Norway. It was originally released on Deathlike Silence Productions, an independent record label based in Oslo that was founded in the late 80s. The infamous label was led by Euronymous, the late mastermind and guitarist behind black metal pioneers Mayhem.
