"The Shadow Inside" CD by Sadus
Article description
Sadus gained popularity in the late 1980s and early 1990s in the underground metal scene. Their music is characterized by fast and complex guitar riffs, technically demanding bass lines, and intense drum beats. Lyrically, they often deal with themes such as violence, social criticism, and the dark side of human nature.
Their debut album, 'Illusions,' was released in 1988 and caught the attention of the metal community with its raw energy and technical brilliance. This was followed by further albums such as 'Swallowed in Black' (1990), 'A Vision of Misery' (1992), and 'Elements of Anger' (1997). These albums helped establish Sadus as one of the leading bands in technical thrash metal.
Particularly noteworthy is bassist Steve DiGiorgio, who is known for his exceptional playing technique and use of fretless basses. He has also worked with other prominent metal bands such as Death, Testament, and Charred Walls of the Damned.
Although Sadus received less attention in mainstream media, the band remains highly respected in the metal underground scene for their impressive musical skills and their influence on later generations of metal musicians.
