'After CHARLOTTE WESSELS laid the foundation for her promising solo career in 2021 with her electrifying song collection Tales From Six Feet Under, the former DELAIN frontwoman and songwriter is now releasing the successor, Tales From Six Feet Under Vol II, which will be released on October 7, 2022. As on the debut, Wessels played or programmed all the instruments herself and produced them independently in her own Six Feet Under Studio. She was supported by her loyal Patreon community. Through this platform, Wessels releases a new song every month, and Tales From Six Feet Under Vol II is a collection of the releases from the past year. Wessels' style ranges from melancholic alternative pop to synth-heavy rock and combines atmospheric elements with harder sounds, effortlessly crossing genre boundaries.

The album starts with the captivating synth track 'Venus Rising,' which immerses the listener directly into CHARLOTTE WESSELS' sonic world. At the beginning of the second song, 'Human To Ruin,' a gentle melody can be heard, which turns into a driving metal track that alternates between quieter parts and powerful breakouts. Wessels also shows her power in other tracks like 'The Phantom Touch' and 'Good Dog,' while in 'The Final Roadtrip,' she presents the full range of her voice on carefully balanced electronic beats and indie waves. Her softer, poetic side comes to the fore in particular in the intimate 'Against All Odds' - a gentle ballad with calm vocals and acoustic guitar played by Timo Somers (also ex-DELAIN). 'Toxic' starts with an obscure whisper sound that transforms into a strong wall of sound, while the album then fades out with the atmospheric song 'I Forget,' including cello playing by Elianne Anemaat, and the closing track 'Utopia.' This rich variety of songs proves Wessels' extraordinary ability to express sincere feelings and true emotions through her art and to combine different styles in an impressive way.
