by Markus Wosgien (10.04.2006) Since the departure of Liv Kristine it had become a bit calm in the house of the Norwegian gothic metal pioneers. Four years have passed since the last studio album, โ€œAssemblyโ€œ and they took the time to present themselves in a completely new light. The main focus is on the new singer, Nell, of course, and her clear and powerful voice fits the new look of the band perfectly. The electronic elements that dominated the last two albums, have practically vanished completely. Instead, T.O.T. remember their roots and let it rock. โ€œStormโ€ is the album that should have been released after โ€œAegisโ€, a straight, very good gothic-rock/metal album with a lot of first-class songs. One of them is the first single, โ€œStormโ€, an exceptional ear candy. But also the melancholic โ€œAshes and dreamsโ€œ or the groovy โ€œBegin & endโ€œ have a lot of hit potential. โ€œStormโ€ may not be the bravest album but it can absolutely convince and will last a long time!
