For their latest or third full studio album 'Sanguivore', the five Brits of Creeper have made a blood pact to fully focus on the things that truly define them; to delve into the dimly lit corners of frontman Will Gould's ever fruitful mind with a burning torch.
The result: Over 40 minutes of music that combines the grand and epic with the punk rock spirit that has been a cornerstone of Creeper's sound since their 2017 debut: a torn leather jacket wrapped in a plush velvet cloak - a cloak lined with red satin, of course. Inspired by folklore and myth, the darker side of popular culture, Creeper have carved out their own space; a misty world of gothic imagery and dark romance, crypts and castle ruins, unrequited love and the undead - a world where love comes at a price and beauty smiles with sharpened teeth.
From the opening track 'Further Than Forever', a nine-minute, multi-layered Tour-de-force that would bring a smile to the late Jim Steinman's face, to the closing track 'Spook And Mercy', a nocturnal tale of the little Mercy and her ravenous deeds, 'Sanguivore' is an incredibly impressive, loosely conceptual journey through the glorious and graphic.
