by Andreas Reissnauer (03/02) Summer's still far away but with Lagwagon on the ears and an ice-cream in the fist we can easily stand the waiting. A 10-years-history is reason enough to release a compilation album featuring plenty of rare songs. Like some single-tracks not available any more, compilations-contributes, live-tracks and previously unreleased material from the days where the debut was not even released yet. Seven new tracks complete the 74-minute album that should be of interest for old fans and newcomers alike. You don't know Lagwagon? These guys are among the most popular Melody-Punks of the planet and can be named in one breath with acts like NOFX and Bad Religion. This band shows a similar good mood but also has its melancholic moments, just listen to "Eat your words". A great birthday surprise of the band who releases the album on singer Joey Cape's own label My Records to further express their independence of the record industry.
