Beginning with the opulent wall of sound production via an extra portion of pathos to the mixture of ambient, gothic and nu metal. Bombastic keyboards encounter staccato guitars, a pumping bass and the changing vocals of Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro. A duo that is far from being so siren-like as their colleagues of Nightwish and Within Temptation. Also the mystically entitled songs provide the perfect balance of bombast and heaviness. "Our truthβ€œ, e.g. convinces by Oriental ambient-sounds, β€œWhat I seeβ€œ is a true killer, β€œCloserβ€œ indulges in wild romanticism and β€œWithin meβ€œ turns out to be an acoustic ballad. A variety that always has two constants: the melodramatic song arrangements and the liking for hedonistic messages of the β€œLife is too shortβ€œ kind. An approach that gives them uniqueness. Only weakness is the Depeche Mode-cover, β€œEnjoy the silenceβ€œ. That would not have been necessary...
