"Impii hora" LP by Asinhell
Article description
For over 20 years, singer/guitarist Michael Poulsen has been at the forefront of the Danish Rock 'n' roll machine known as Volbeat. He has released eight Albums, sold millions of Albums, and filled stadiums all over the world. Before becoming the frontman of Volbeat, however, Poulsen founded the death metal band Dominus, which recorded four fast and brutal Albums in the mid-90s.
When Poulsen was compiling songs for Volbeat's 2021 Album 'Servant of the Mind,' he wrote a series of death metal riffs and saved them on his hard drive. Then, when he was finished with the Volbeat record, he opened the rusty gates to Armageddon once again and began to assemble songs for his new death metal band, Asinhell. Their debut Album is titled Impii Hora, which means 'ungodly hour' in Latin.
The songs are rooted in hard-hitting riffs, but are also filled with strong guitar hooks and shout-along refrains.
