Melodies that stick in your head, with relentless speed and brutality, and always a clear political message in their lyrics - that's what the modern death metal band NECROTTED from southern Germany has been known for for 15 years now! Founded in 2008, the band from AbtsgmΓΌnd (Baden-WΓΌrttemberg) has since become a fixed entity in the scene and impresses both their constantly growing fan base and the music press with their musical releases as well as their energetic live shows. During their time together, NECROTTED have already released four albums - 'Anchors Apart' (2012), 'Utopia 2.0' (2014), 'Worldwide Warfare' (2017), and 'Operation: Mental Castration' (2021) - as well as two EPs - 'Kingdom Of Hades' (2010) and 'Die For Something Worthwhile' (2019). In addition, the quintet has played hundreds of live concerts on smaller and larger stages in various countries over the years. Now, the new album 'Imperium' marks another milestone in the band's history. The full-length release is once again designed as a concept album and consistently develops the intricate storyline of its predecessor, both in terms of content and visually. NECROTTED continue to experiment with their music as well. Alongside their proven recipe of melodic guitar riffs, thundering blast beats, and crushing slams, they incorporate more and more black metal elements. In the lyrics, which are generally written in English, there are also more and more passages in their native German language, which, as usual, are delivered with inhumanly deep growls and screeching screams. 'Imperium' will be released in September 2023 through the Reaper Entertainment Europe label and will undoubtedly make a significant impact in the realm of contemporary, diverse death metal.
