Article description

Based on the 1987 original master tapes used for 'The Later Years,' Andy Jackson worked with David Gilmour and assisted by Damon Iddins to remix and update the recordings. The album will be available on Vinyl, CD, DVD, and Blu-ray with stereo and 5.1 mixes.

The release of 'The Later Years' project in 2019 provided the opportunity to revisit the originally released album 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason' from 1987. By going back to some of Richard Wright's original keyboard takes and re-recording the drum tracks with Nick Mason, producers David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin were able to achieve a better creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members.

The newly remixed and updated 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason' album also features a new album cover, which showcases an alternative bed photo by Robert Dowling from the original cover shoot directed by the late Storm Thorgerson in 2013.

Remixed in 2019 from the original master tapes. Half-speed master at 45rpm for improved sound quality. 180g pressing. Gatefold sleeve with a 28-page booklet.
