When music has the ability to evoke images of swamps, sounding evil as no other, it’s definitely GOATWHORE we’re talking about! Formed in 1997, the band features in its ranks such well-known scene personalities as Sammy Duet (guitar, ex-CROWBAR, ex-ACID BATH) and Ben Falgoust (vocals, SOILENT GREEN). Through word-of-mouth propaganda and clever merchandise marketing the band quickly earned a nationwide cult following in the USA. Between the releases of their debut "The Eclipse Of Ages Into Black", its successor "Funeral Dirge For The Rotting Sun", and recurring tragic events like a near-fatal crash involving Falgoust, the band managed to always return to the stage to celebrate its punishing live act. GOATWHORE’s Metal Blade debut "A Haunting Curse" was produced at Erik Rutan’s increasingly popular Mana Studios (CANNIBAL CORPSE, CELLADOR, MORBID ANGEL) in St.Petersburg, FL, and it stands alone in terms of sheer evil and brutality.(Source: Metal Blade Records)
